St. Patrick’s Day 2026
Greystones & District Invites Community to Celebrate St Patrick’s Day 2026 with “Ireland from Shore to Sea” Parade Greystones and District will come alive this St Patrick’s Day, Tuesday 17 March 2026, as the annual community parade returns with the vibrant coastal theme Ireland from Shore to Sea. A much-loved highlight of the local calendar, the parade celebrates Irish culture and the area’s proud seaside identity, inviting schools, sports clubs, community groups, businesses and residents of all ages to take part.
This year’s theme encourages creative interpretations of Ireland’s connection to the sea, from marine life and coastal landscapes to seaside towns, water sports and maritime folklore. Expect a colourful celebration inspired by the blues, greens and shimmering tones of the Irish coast.
Parade Details
The parade will kick off at 11.00am from the South Beach car park, making its way through the town and finishing at the Marina. Afterwards, live entertainment will take place on Church Road, the town’s main street, keeping the festive atmosphere going for families and visitors alike.
To help make the day inclusive for everyone, a quiet zone will once again be in place in conjunction with Greystones Autism Friendly Town, providing a calmer space for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere to fully participate in the Parade.
Community at the Heart
Organisers are encouraging participants to focus on fun, imagination and community spirit, with costumes, props, music and movement all welcome. The event aims to bring together the communities of Greystones, Delgany, Kilcoole, Newcastle and beyond in a joyful and inclusive celebration.
The Greystones & District St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, headed by Cllr Tom Fortune, is also seeking volunteers to help steward the parade and support the safe running of the event on the day.
The committee extends sincere thanks to Core Credit Union, headline sponsor of the parade, and to event partners The Burnaby, The Beach House, Schnittger Bourne, Merit, Codling Wind Park, The Dogfather Mobile Dog Grooming, Higcon Construction & Renewables Ireland, Greystones Municipal District, Mrs. Robinsons and Charlesland Shopping Centre for their valued support.
