A community-led team working in partnership to help Greystones thrive.

What is a town team?

A Town Team is a coordinating body of active town stakeholders that brings together community groups, the voluntary sector, and business organisations to work collaboratively with local government for the benefit of the community.

Greystones Town Team is a group of local volunteers working together to support the future of Greystones. The team works in partnership with elected councillors, Greystones Municipal District and Wicklow County Council to help improve the town for residents, visitors, community groups and local businesses.

What does GTT do?

GTT is community-led and volunteer powered. It works by identifying local priorities, building partnerships, supporting projects, encouraging participation and helping connect community ideas with the people and organisations that can deliver them.

GTT organises a range of community events and festivals, such as St. Patrick's Day, Picnic in the Park, and the Light Up Greystones Santa Tour and Lights. These events, run entirely by volunteers, play a crucial role in bringing joy and unity to the community, demonstrating that such vibrant celebrations wouldn't happen without their dedication. GTT also works closely with Wicklow County Council and the Greystones Municipal District to secure funding for projects focused on public realm improvements, climate action, and community development.
